Blood glucose (BG) measurement is critical for many to ensure optimal diabetes control especially for people using insulin or similar agents that can cause hypoglycaemia. Testing BG can for many, be mandatory in relation to driving etc. For many people however, testing of BG does not help and there is evidence that it can even cause harmful anxiety.
